Destination Champion

What is a Destination Champion?

We believe that the best way to add value to our clients is to understand their requirements and recommend destinations and venues based on our own personal knowledge. We are curious and want to see what’s new and we aim to visit our key destinations a least once a year and review over 15 venues in each location.

Prague

Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic is a very popular destination for international conferences with many 4 star and 5 star hotels with excellent seminar facilities. This exciting historical city offers off-site dining in restaurants including Prague Castle with views over the red roof tops of Prague, Zoffin Palace or one of the many dining rooms in Municipal House. The people of Prague are keen to welcome conference business from around the world and offer competitive prices for groups.

Why I would recommend Prague

Prague city as a conference destination is ideal for small and medium size groups of middle to senior management events. Some venues are compliant for pharmaceutical conferences.

Key Attractions

The heart of Prague, Old Town is filled with many houses, churches, cathedrals and palaces dating back to 13th century. Notable structures include the Old Town Hall, The Astronomical Clock, Prague Castle, The Municipal House and Charles Bridge. In the Old Town and Wenceslas Square there are a range of bars and clubs suitable for all clients. In the Summer time people enjoy sitting outside the bistro cafes.

Infrastructure and Transport

To transfer from the airport to the hotel there are always plenty of taxis available outside the terminals, most hotels will happily arrange a chauffeur car to meet and greet. There is an airport express bus to take you to Dejvicka stop where you can transfer to the underground line A to take you in to the city centre. Most taxis will accept Euro notes as well as Czech Crowns, however the buses will only accept Czech Crowns. I found that for journeys around the city of Prague it is advisable to only use the yellow taxis and pre-agree a price before getting in.

Excursions

Around Prague there are many excursions for groups and individuals, Segway and Ebikes (electric bike tours), Czech beer is world famous with Pils Beer invented in Prague, there are a number of Prague Brewery Tours. If your conference should have a spare day then it is worth the hour or so travelling to Karlovy Vary a spa city situated in western Bohemia famous for the setting of the James Bond film Casino Royale.
