Entertainers & Performers
Some entertainers and performers manage themselves and rely heavily on reputation and word-of-mouth for bookings. Check out our listings to discover some very talented individuals. You may find that celebrity look-a-like that would be perfect for your event or a slight-of-hand magician that would keep your dinner guests entertained between courses.
When hiring an independent entertainer or performer, make sure you present them with a tight brief of your expectations. They will need to know timings and space restrictions, along with details of any vip guests they should focus attention on or perhaps stay away from.
If it’s a comedian or after-dinner speaker you’re looking for, then they’ll need to know what level of humour is acceptable to your guests. The last thing you’ll want is for the client managing director to become offended by their event’s entertainment.
Going direct to an entertainer or performer also means you’ll need to provide onsite management, which may include changing rooms, catering and anything else they may need.
Make sure you ask for references and performance history so that you can do due diligence on any performer before asking them to sign a contract.
