Situated in the heart of one of Germany's largest wine-growing regions and surrounded by vineyards is the city of Stuttgart. It is a major destination for European business and the area is known for its high-tech industry; some of its most prominent companies include Daimler AG, Porsche, Bosch, Hewlett-Packard and IBM, which have their world or German headquarters here. Stuttgart is served by Stuttgart Airport located approximately 8 miles south of the city centre. The city is also a hub for the rail network with fast services to Berlin, Strasbourg, Paris, Vienna and Zurich.
