As a centre for learning and events, we offer versatile venues available for hire on an hourly, half-day, or full-day basis. These venues belong to the international campus of the esteemed Memorial University, which is headquartered in Canada.
Located just an hour from London in a peaceful and leafy corner of Old Harlow, our largest venue, St. John’s Hall was formerly a Victorian schoolhouse built in 1870. Today it is a multi-purpose venue, where we have hosted successful business meetings, weddings and workshops.
This charming space has high ceilings and large windows overlooking an enclosed patio garden. It is equipped with audio-visual capabilities including a digital projector, free Wi-Fi and whiteboards to ensure seamless presentations. We can configure the room to suit your needs and ensure comfort with 25 people for classroom style seating and up to 35 people for theatre style.
Our second venue, The Lord Taylor Room is a traditional boardroom within our main building, The Maltings. It can accommodate 10 people and is setup for presentations and hybrid meetings. Visitors will appreciate the ample natural light and adjoining outdoor space.
All our events are managed to a high standard with bespoke planning and a dedicated and friendly team on hand to provide support throughout. Catering and refreshments are available, prepared either in-house or from trusted local suppliers.
For those needing overnight accommodation, we have a variety of comfortable options. Guests will enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and have the choice of a continental or cooked breakfast.
