The thatched villas are set in clusters along the shoreline and designs throughout the hotel centre on fishing and the sea - La Pirogue being the name of the traditional Mauritian fishing boat. La Pirogue is set in a large estate of tropical gardens which run down to one of the best and longest beaches on the island. The thatched villas are set in arc-shaped clusters nestling in the 20 acres of palm-grove gardens. as such corporate clients can have "sections" of the resort allocated exclusively to them.
